We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these policies or that we determine to be inconsistent with the mission and values of Local Activities.

I. Prohibited Content

Content that falls into any of the following categories may be removed and may result in account restriction or removal:

• Illegal content (including copyright infringement or regulatory violations)

• Pornographic or sexually explicit material

• Content promoting violence, threats, or harassment

• Hate speech or content promoting prejudice or discrimination

• Promotion or encouragement of self-harm or dangerous behaviors

• Impersonation of individuals or organizations in a deceptive manner

• Use of the platform to facilitate transactions or gifts involving restricted or harmful goods/services

• Spam or deceptive practices (e.g. scams, link manipulation)

• Posting personal or confidential information about others without consent

II. Misinformation During Crises

Local Activities does not permit false or misleading content, especially during times of crisis or public emergency. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Health misinformation (e.g. false cures, anti-vaccine claims)

• Content that encourages actions against official health or safety guidelines

• Disinformation targeting individuals, communities, or organizations

• Attempts to erode public trust or cause social panic through manipulation or distortion of facts

III. Conspiracy Theories & Manipulated Content

We prohibit content that seeks to manipulate or mislead by spreading conspiracy theories or falsified media, including:

• Misrepresented or decontextualized facts (e.g., false attributions, date/time distortions)

• Deepfakes or manipulated visual/audio content designed to deceive or cause harm

• Claims intended to erode institutional trust without evidence

Such content has no place on Local Activities. No exceptions.

IV. Protection of Personal Information

We respect the privacy of individuals and strictly prohibit the posting of private or sensitive information, including but not limited to:

• Government-issued IDs or passport details

• Personal contact information or addresses

• Login credentials or passwords

• Financial or medical records

• Photos of individuals shared without their permission​

V. Dangerous Organizations, Goods, and Activities

We do not allow content that promotes, glorifies, or supports:

• Terrorist organizations, violent groups, or gangs

• Criminal or extremist activity

• Private sale or trade of tobacco, drugs, firearms, explosives, or alcohol

• DIY instructions for harmful substances or weapons

• Unlicensed or unauthorized pharmacies or medical products

Exceptions may apply for culturally relevant or educational content (e.g., cocktail recipes), at our discretion and in line with our platform’s mission.

VI. Intellectual Property

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This means:

• Do not post content you don’t have the right to use

• Do not use the Local Activities name, logo, or branding in a misleading or harmful way

• We reserve all rights to the Local Activities brand and original content

VII. Disclaimer

Local Activities features user-generated and organization-submitted content. While we aim to review and moderate content for accuracy and policy compliance, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of all material or linked content.

Local Activities LTD and its contributors are not liable for any damages or issues arising from the use of content found on the platform.

We highlight and support community organizations that promote positive, local engagement — but we do not claim ownership or control over external sites or listings.
